Ask for grounded help, review tool results, and approve writes before they land.
Ask in the trip context
Open the companion from the planner (side drawer on desktop, sheet on mobile). Questions work best when they name the day, place, constraint, or decision.
Examples:
- “Find a lunch stop near our museum booking on day two.”
- “What does the hostel entrance look like?”
- “Draft a three-day Tokyo outline within our budget.”
What the companion can research
Read-only tools can help with:
- weather for your dates;
- place search, nearby points of interest, and place details;
- routes and travel-time matrices;
- Airbnb lodging search and listing details;
- street-level imagery cards when you ask what a place looks like;
- trip-owned media the agent is allowed to read.
Geo and lodging results are research. Turning a discovery into a stop still requires a write that you approve.
Review proposed changes
AI output can include suggestions or structured trip changes. Review dates, locations, prices, and opening hours before applying anything to the shared plan.
Write tools that mutate the trip (insert stop, reorder days, update expense, and similar) require your approval. Ambient replies to ordinary member chat stay read-only.
On first open after creating a trip, you may see a one-shot suggested draft. Edit it before treating it as the group plan.
Mentions and stop threads
- In the companion timeline, talk with

Keep sensitive information private
Do not paste passports, payment card details, private access codes, or other secrets into the conversation. Store only the minimum booking information your group needs.
